Jan 05, 2011. /Lesprom Network/. UPM introduces UPM EcoLite, a new uncoated paper that is available in very low basis weights, 29 g/m² and 31 g/m². EcoLite is a low cost and environmentally friendly product and it provides a competitive option for very low basis weight WFU papers, as the company said in a press release received by Lesprom Network. UPM EcoLite is, for example, suitable for mail order catalogues, manuals, booklets and books, inserts, leaflets and advertising materials. It is the perfect choice when whiteness and yellowness are not the most critical elements in the end use. This product is produced at Kaipola mill in Finland. UPM consists of three Business Groups: Energy and pulp, Paper, and Engineered materials.
