Sep 22, 2006. /Lesprom Network/. UPM was selected as an index component for the European Dow Jones STOXX Sustainability Index for 2007. Within the Forestry & Paper industry group four companies were compared and two, UPM being one of them, were included in the index. The European sustainability benchmark - Dow Jones STOXX Sustainability Index - includes 162 companies representing different industries like consumer goods, financials, technology, health care, basic materials, utilities etc. Previously in 2003 - 2006 UPM was a component also in DJSI World index, and industry group leader in 2005-2006. For 2007 only one out of 13 companies compared within forest industry sector was included in the DJSI World index in 2007.
