Jul 09, 2012. /Lesprom Network/. Western lumber production in Western States of USA through May totaled 5.280 billion board feet, up 9.1% from the January-May 2011 total, as Random Lengths reported. Production through May in the Coast region was up 8.1% vs. a year ago, while Inland production rose 11.7% over the same time period. Production in the California Redwood region was up 1.7% compared to the first five months of 2011. May production across the West totaled 1.120 billion feet, up 23.7% compared to the May 2011 total.
