Mar 25, 2013. /Lesprom Network/. U.S. total printing-writing paper shipments in February 2013 were down 12% from February 2012, as the American Forest & Paper Association said in a press release received by Lesprom Network.

February shipments of coated free sheet papers decreased 5% compared to February 2012, with year-to-date CFS shipments up less than 1% relative to 2012.

Uncoated free sheet papers shipments of 701,700 tons in February were 10% below the same period last year, with imports increasing 14% year-over-year in January.

February uncoated mechanical paper shipments decreased 22% when compared to February 2012.

February shipments of coated mechanical decreased 20% compared to February 2012 to 218,900 tons, the lowest total since before 1995.
