Feb 24, 2011. /Lesprom Network/. Total U.S. printing-writing paper shipments decreased 2% in January 2011 compared to January 2010. Two of the four major printing-writing grades posted increases compared to last January, as the American Forest & Paper Association said in a press release received by Lesprom Network. U.S. purchases (shipments + imports – exports) of printing-writing papers also decreased, down 4% in January. Total printing-writing paper inventory levels increased 4% compared to December 2010. The American Forest & Paper Association is the national trade association of the forest products industry, representing pulp, paper, and wood products manufacturers, and forest landowners.
