Nov 23, 2010. /Lesprom Network/. Total U.S. industry consumption of recovered paper in October 2010 was 2.65 million tons, 5% higher than October of last year and 1% higher than last month. The U.S. consumed 8% more recovered paper in the first 10 months of 2010 than during the same period last year, the American Forest & Paper Association said in a press release received by Lesprom Network. The U.S. exported 3% less recovered paper in September than in August. Year-to-date exports of recovered paper are down 2% compared to the same months last year. The American Forest & Paper Association is the national trade association of the forest products industry, representing pulp, paper, and wood products manufacturers, and forest landowners.
