Dec 03, 2003. /Lesprom Network/. Ukraine West-Carpathians state-owned timber mills sales were 51,1 million UAH ($9,6 million) within 10 months in 2003, up 41% compared with the prior period in 2002. The sector showed financial-economic development rates improvement within 10 months, West-Carpathians timber industry department reported. The timber enterprises paid 17,7 million UAH ($3,3 million) to the budget and trust funds within 10 months in 2003, up 61% compared with the prior period in 2002. Timber mills profits were UAH 2,4 million ($452,8 million) within 10 months in 2003, up 34% compared with the prior period in 2002.
