Sep 06, 2007. /Lesprom Network/. VT Industries of Holstein, Iowa, has acquired an Indiana-based manufacturer of fine wood products. IDEAL Architectural Doors and Plymouth of New Albany, Ind. will complement and expand the line of architectural wood doors manufactured by VT Industries, said Rick Liddell, VT Industries' senior vice president-sales and marketing. IDEAL, a fifth-generation company, will continue to manufacturer AA grade flush doors, premium grade stile and rail doors, thick doors, oversize doors, blueprint matched panels and doors, sketch-faced doors and speciality veneers. VT Industries, founded in 1956 by Roger Clausen, has grown from a one-man manufacturing shop to eight North America facilities. The family-owned business, which maintains its headquarters and a plant in Holstein, produces a variety of postformed laminate countertops and architectural wood doors.
