President of Russian Federation Vladimir Putin approved the candidature of Mikhail Fradkov to become prime minister in case of his future election as a president in March, 2004, Vladimir Putin stated during a meeting with the parliamentary majority MPs, ITAR-TASS reported. President stressed that the new PM should meet the following requirements: ‘It has to be a highly professional person, organized, having strong work experience in varied branches of state activity'. Presently Mikhail Fradkov is working as EU envoy. Formerly Mikhail Fradkov headed Federal tax police and served as minister of trade.
