In accordance with a regulation signed by Vladimir regional administration chief, timber merchants received forestries of 209 thousand cub m in 2003. 204 thousand cub m of timber were sold within 9 months in 2003, at an average price of RUR 207 per cub m. 209 thousand cub m were allocated for auction sale in 2004. The control over renters activity was forced, Vladimir region natural resources and environment department reported. Russian state natural resources department conducts monthly checks of renters fulfillment of rent agreements. Particular attention is paid to profound timber procession which will increase the efficiency of the forestries.
