The two-day event, titled “Voith Fabrics Kunshan: Bringing Reliability, Knowledge and Trust Closer to You,” was consist of one seminar day. Executive managers, mill managers, R&D managers, as well as members of production and planning, were hear from experts in fabric technology, papermaking machinery, automation and service.
Day two was consist of a ceremony and tour commemorating the grand opening of the Voith Fabrics Kunshan site expansion, which includes the addition of a new building, weaving looms, needle looms and finishing machines as well as fiber blending and carding lines.

In addition to the Voith Fabrics machine clothing operation, the Kunshan site houses the Voith Paper Service Center, which opened in October 2003. This collaboration between Voith Paper and Voith Fabrics makes the Kunshan site the first within Voith to have both fabrics manufacturing and paper engineering capabilities under one roof.
