The subsidiary of Voith Paper was given an award for its environmental consciousness; above all for its resource-protecting technologies for the preparation and recovery of production effluent. The independent English environmental organization "The Green Organisation" awards this renowned prize for sustainable projects and products every year. On November 10, 2008, manager Werner Gesler accepted the prize in the English House of Commons parliament building. The Green Apple Award is regarded as one of the most coveted environmental awards in Great Britain and is recognized as a precondition for the “European Business Award for the Environment.”
