Apr 20, 2007. /Lesprom Network/. China's emerging MDF/THDF panel market has seen the Weihua Group grow within only 3 years to become one of the biggest players in panel production in this country. The company was amongst the first in China to pioneer THDF production using the proven CPS production system when it started its operations at Qingyuan and Taishan. Whilst both these existing CPS THDF lines and another three multi-opening MDF plants are located in Guangdong Province, the most recent project is aimed to expand the company's business activities into the middle and northern parts of China. With the latest addition of two new Dieffenbacher CPS lines and another continuous THDF line to follow these, the Weihua Group will have a combined capacity of more than 1,000.000 cubic meters. MDF/THDF per annum, making it one of the major panel producing companies in this giant and exciting panel market. The company has been very successful in operating its existing CPS lines from start up, and within a short period of time has been able to strongly expand its market share in the huge Guangdong area, with the shear endless weight of numbers of furniture-producing industries absorbing virtually the entire THDF output at the door step. Equipment supplier selection for the latest THDF plants was made in March 2007. The two new Dieffenbacher THDF CPS lines now on order will be installed at Xiangfan city, Hubei province and in Qiu county, Hebei province. The new generation CPS lines will each have a name-plate capacity of 200.000 cubic meters THDF per annum. Both plants comprise a Dieffenbacher core plant package of glue dosing, flash drying, fibre mat forming and CPS Press of size 8 ft x 24m. The supply package also includes an outfeed panel handling system of Dieffenbacher design. The newly developed CPS lines feature a dedicated design for high speed production of Thin High Density panels at up to 1.500 mm/sec, whilst having the flexibility to produce standard MDF of medium and thick panel range. A special Dieffenbacher mat forming profile control system and the newly developed CPS press infeed design ensure maximum reliability and machine protection for high speed thin panel production and easy optimisation of process parameters. The Hubei project schedule foresees first board production during the third quarter of 2008 whilst the Hebei project schedule has been planned to follow 4 months later.
