Feb 06, 2009. /Lesprom.com/. Weyerhaeuser's Company reported a net loss of $1.212 billion for the 4Q, or $5.73 per share, on net sales from continuing operations of $1.8 billion. Last year, Weyerhaeuser reported a 4Q net loss of $63 million, or 30 cents per share, on net sales from continuing operations of $2.5 billion. For the full year 2008, Weyerhaeuser reported a net loss of $1.176 billion, or $5.57 per share, on net sales from continuing operations of $8 billion. This compares with net earnings of $790 million, or $3.60 per share, on net sales from continuing operations of $10.8 billion for 2007. Total net sales for the quarter were $1.78 billion, down from $3.94 billion in the year ago quarter. Weyerhaeuser Company, one of the world’s largest forest products companies.
