The takeover is part of a long-term strategy and has resulted in a strong player at the European level. The new group safeguards the future of Unilin, Panels division and Spanogroup in a European market that is home to increasingly large-scale players, as the company said in a press release received by Lesprom Network.

Unilin, Panels division, produces chipboard and MDF panels, decorative panels and finished products. Spanogroup is a leading producer and distributor of chipboard panels and melamine panels.

Spanogroup enables Unilin to expand its client base in additional distribution channels. Alongside this there are clear synergies between Unilin and Spanogroup. This provides opportunities for the optimisation of the machinery and production processes, the raw materials and operational efficiency.
