Timber company Arnold Laver & Co Ltd has announced a 21% increase in profits to GBP 6.4 million ($10 million) in the year up to June 2008, as Sheffield Telegraph informed Lesprom Network. The national company's timber, leisure and property divisions contributed to a combined turnover of GBP 111million ($170 million). Arnold Laver Timber World, which has 13 branches across the UK, saw turnover grow by 5% for the year, despite a reduction in sales to private house builders in the final quarter compared to the previous year.
