Burgo Group paper mill in Treviso obtained FSC certification

The Burgo Group paper mill in Treviso has obtained Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certification of its custody chain for the purchase of paper pulp from controlled and FSC certified fibres, and the design, production, finishing and sale of uncoated, coated and special papers, the company reported. Certification guarantees that raw materials come from correctly managed forests and from other controlled sources, and attests to the traceability of all movements from the original forest to the finished product.
The new certification will make its debut in the FSC Mixed Sources certified food packaging papers sector with a number of machine glazed kraft papers for packaging and lamination marketed by the Mosaico Specialty Papers business unit.
The Treviso mill, specialists in the production of machine-glazed kraft papers and in the extrusion of polyethylene and polypropylene on paper, joins the other FSC certified Group mills: Avezzano, Lugo, Sarego, Sora, Tolmezzo and Toscolano in Italy, Ardennes in Belgium (certificate number SGS-COC-005244).
