Mar 28, 2011. /Lesprom Network/. Canadian lumber production opened the year 10% ahead of the year-ago pace with 1.8 billion board feet in January, as Random Lengths reported. Production in British Columbia also gained 10%, to 1.0 bbf, although output in B.C.'s Northern Interior declined 3%. Output in New Brunswick declined 5%, but all other provinces gained compared to January 2010. Compared to the previous month, only Nova Scotia lost ground, and all of Canada gained 13%.
