Dec 17, 2012. /Lesprom Network/. Ence will increase the sale price of its paper pulp to customers to $800 per ton as of January 1, 2013. This decision was made as a result of the pressures to increase the price of paper pulp arising from the growth that demand for short-fibre paper pulp –paper pulp manufactured by Ence– is currently experiencing worldwide, according to the main market analysts, as the company said in a press release received by Lesprom Network.
Of particular is the fact that tissue paper demand –which is made with the type of paper pulp mentioned above– has maintained an average annual growth rate of more than 4% and performed very positively in new markets with high growth potential, especially in China where the use of this type of paper has increased significantly in recent years, with annual growth rates of more than 10%.
Ence is the leading producer in Europe of eucalyptus pulp on the market and the second largest company in terms of sales in Continental Europe with a share of more than 15% of the European market. The company exports almost 87% of the pulp it produces as a result of its advanced logistics network and the quality of its products, which include totally chlorine-free (TCF) pulp which is highly valued in Northern European countries.
