Eeva Hellström from Finland and Frits Mohren from Netherlands have been elected to the European Forest Institute (EFI) Board by the Council in Nancy, France.

from Netherlands have been elected
to the European Forest Institute (EFI) Board by the Council in Nancy, France. Dr. Hellström is
the leader of the societal training and development activities of Sitra - the
Finnish Innovation Fund. Prof. Dr. Mohren chairs the Forest Ecology and Forest
Management Group at WageningenUniversity, as the EFI said
in the press release received by Lesprom Network.
Other EFI Board members are: Dr José Antonio Bonet Lledós, Spain; Prof. Dr.
Giuseppe E. Scarascia-Mugnozza, Italy; Prof. Dr. Jean-Marc Guehl, France; Prof.
Dr. Michael Köhl, Germany; Prof. Dr. Tomasz Zawiła-Niedźwiecki, Poland and Prof.
J. Bo Larsen, Denmark, Chairman of the Board.
The European Forest Institute is an international organisation
established by the European states. By the spring of 2013, a total of 25 European
states had ratified the Convention on EFI. With its about 130 Associate and
Affiliate Member organisations, five Regional Offices and one Project Centre,
it offers forest research contacts and collaboration at the European level.
