Fibria installs process control applications from Metso

Apr 28, 2010. /Lesprom Network/. Fibria Celulose S/A, Jacarei, Brazil is installing Metso`s Advanced Process Controls (mAPC) applications in the mill’s recausticizing and lime kiln operations. The delivery is scheduled for December 2010, Metso said in a statement received by Lesprom Network.
In the recausticizing operations, Metso`s mRecaust advanced process controls will stabilize the process and increase the effective alkali (EA) level in both causticizing plants. In the lime kiln operations, mLime Advanced Process Controls will decrease energy consumption while producing more uniform lime in both lime kilns in the recovery line.
Fibria, the largest bleached eucalyptus pulp producer in Brazil, produces exclusively from renewable plantations.
