According to the governmental department of information policy, chairman of middle-Ural government Victor Koksharov has met president of chamber of commerce and industry of Burgundy Jean-Mari Billot. They have discussed Ural-French cooperation in the field of wood-processing. The French are ready to utilize actively innovative technologies for processing of high quality grades of birch which are in excess in Sverdlov region. Realization of projects on utilization of wood waste is also considered. Furthermore, representatives of Sverdlov region showed interest in creation in the region of joint ventures, construction of plants producing state-of-the-art transport as well as supplies of modern equipment and technologies for engineering and metalworking, Uralinformbureau reported.
