Sep 13, 2004. /Lesprom Network/. German Glunz AG announced the rise of OSB prices by an average of 5.5% beginning from September, 1 2004, particleboard – by an average of 8%. In August 2004 MDF prices increased 4.5%, Glunz AG spokesperson told Lesprom.ru. The rise was caused by the increase of expenditures of round timber acquisiton, electric power and adhesives. 'The expenses rose so considerably that we had to raise the prices' Glunz AG sales director announced in a letter to the company's sales partners. The rise in prices in September 2004 is not the first one during this year: on April, 1 Glunz AG announced the increase of particleboard prices by 4.5%, on June,1 OSB prices rose 6.5%.
