Italian wood processing machinery and tools manufacturing industry registered an increase in orders by 7.4% year-on-year in the fourth quarter of 2005, ANSA reported according to the Italian Union of Forestry Machine Producers (ACIMALL). Orders in the domestic market increased by 15.4%, while orders in foreign markets rose by 5.1%. The sector currently exports 83% of its output. According to a survey conducted by ACIMALL, orders will remain stable in the future for some 77% of the companies, while they will grow for 19% of the companies.
