Sep 14, 2015. /Lesprom Network/. JELD-WEN has acquired Karona Inc., a manufacturer of specialty stile and rail doors based in Caledonia, Michigan. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed, as the company said in the press release received by Lesprom Network.

The acquisition strengthens JELD-WEN's position in the North America specialty stile and rail (wood) door market, and signifies a period of rapid growth for the company globally. Karona will become part of JELD-WEN's extensive North American doors business unit.

"Innovation and expanding our market leadership position are top priorities for us, very much in alignment with our mission to offer the most complete depth and breadth of product in the industry," said Lennie Rhoades, JELD-WEN senior vice president of doors. "The acquisition of Karona is an excellent fit and increases our capabilities and product offerings in the specialty stile and rail market in North America."
