Mar 25, 2014. /Lesprom Network/. Körber AG completed the acquisition of Werum IT Solutions AG, based in Lüneburg, Germany, after the deal was approved by the antitrust authorities, as the company said in the press release received by Lesprom Network.

Werum is the leading provider of software for production control and monitoring in the pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical industries.

The aim of the acquisition is to expand the Körber Group's Medipak Systems business area, which specializes in inspection and packaging technologies and in the manufacture of high-quality packaging for pharmaceutical products.

Prior to the acquisition, Werum IT Solutions AG had been spun off from Werum Software & Systems AG.

The Körber Group brings together around 50 leading international technology companies active in the fields of tobacco, tissue, automation, intralogistics, mailing, machine tools and pharmaceutical packaging systems.
