Jan 20, 2005. /Lesprom Network/. After the acquisition of 40% of Maltat shares by MS United, the stake of Maltat owned by MS United reached 90%. The two companies merged under MS Management, corporate spokesperson told Lesprom.ru. MS United acquired 50% shares of Maltat in May 2004. Afterwards the merger procedure was launched. The merger deal was completed on January, 14 2005. MS Management companies reached the 1st position among the Russian exporters of saw logs to Japan making a total of 10% of national exports (4 468 thousand cub m). MS Management director on development Oleg Nesterov said that in the next few years the company will tend to reduce saw logs and timber exports and increase exports of finished products, developing advanced timber-procession. MS Management owns Kunerminskoe (Irkustsk region), Kanskwood (Krasnoyarsk region), Mikura (Irkutsk region), Maltat (Krasnoyarsk region), Lenaexportles (Irkutsk region), Severobaikalskaya timber industry company (Buriatia Republic), Minnesco Novosibirsk trading company, Maltat trading company.
