Feb 10, 2005. /Lesprom Network/. Metso Automation announces several recent orders and deliveries for moisture profilers, IQSteamPro steam boxes and IQAquaPro spray moisturizing systems.
IQSteamPro orders and deliveries
IQSteamPro, is Metso Automation's new, high-performance steam profiler family for the wet end sections of paper, board and tissue machines. Results with IQSteamPro show significant improvements in CD moisture 2-sigma values and increased dryness after the press section. In a paper or board machine with limited drying capacity, production increases of more than 10% have been achieved.
Kemiart Liners has installed an IQSteamPro steam profiler on its Kemi, Finland PM1 production line. The PM1 line produces coated and uncoated white-top kraftliner. The startup was in December, 2004.
Stora Enso’s Kaukopää mill in Finland mill has installed an IQSteamPro on its board machine BM2. The startup was in January, 2005
Stora Enso’s Whiting mill in Wisconsin, USA mill has ordered an IQSteamPro for its PM 64 LWC machine. The machine, which is being rebuilt by Metso Paper, will start up in May, 2005.
Stora Enso’s Biron mill in Wisconsin, USA mill has ordered an IQSteamPro for its PM 26 LWC machine. The machine, which is being rebuilt by Metso Paper, will start up in the first quarter of 2005.
IQAquaPro orders
The IQAquaPro is a spray moisturizing system for CD profiling, curl control and calender surface finishing control applications. It features a tailor-made micro droplet air-water spray nozzle, a linear water control valve and an electromechanical actuator with position feedback.
Hebei PanAsia’s Long-Teng Paper Co. Ltd. has ordered an IQAquaPro for its new 330,000 tpy Metso Paper newsprint machine in China. It is scheduled for startup in the summer of 2005.
Hankuk Paper’s Onsan mill in South Korea has ordered an IQAquaPro for its new 200,000 tpy Metso Paper fine paper machine. It is scheduled for startup at the end of 2005.
