In 2004 Silva invested LVL 440 thousand ($766.8 thousand) in production development, similar amount will be invested in 2005. In 2004 timber production by Silva reached 610 thousand cub m. 800 thousand cub m of pulpwood and 300 thousand cub m of chips were exported to Sweden and Finland. Silva is a Finnish-Latvian joint-venture established in 1990. Beginning from 2001 the enterprise has been acting as a representative of Metsaliliito in Latvia.
