Paper-making giant the UPM Group recently made an additional investment of $470 million in a stationery paper machine expansion project in Changshu, East China's Jiangsu Province. This paper machine expansion project will boost the annual production capacity of UPM from 350,000 tons to 800,000 tons. As the world's leading paper-making group, UPM has four production enterprises in China, with Changshu as the largest, which was built at a cost of over $1 billion. Two-thirds of the products of the Changshu company will be sold in China and the remainder will be sold to Japan and other Asia-Pacific countries.
