Dec 16, 2009. /Lesprom Network/. The employee–employer negotiation procedure initiated in Ponsse Plc on November 30, 2009 came to the conclusion that in spite of the markets gradually picking up, the order book and order intake rate do not yet warrant the utilisation of full capacity, the company said in a press release received by Lesprom Network.
The markets have taken on a positive trend, but forecasting demand remains a challenging task. In order to ensure its ability to respond to changes in the market and in order to maintain its flexibility, the company is preparing to adapt its operations also in the coming year.
The negotiations have reached a solution, according to which fixed-term temporary layoffs can be implemented as required in the functions included in the scope of these negotiations.
