Dec 15, 2005. /Lesprom Network/. Romanian chemical products manufacturer Chimopar, located in Bucharest, will invest $17.54 million in a paper processing line, the company said on December 14, 2005. The paper processing line will have an annual production capacity of 2 735 tonnes. The company plans to recoup its investment from the profit in the next seven years.
Chimopar has a share capital of ROL 16.8 million ($5.39 million) made up of shares with ROL 2.5 ($0.8) nominal value each. The company trades on the Bucharest Stock Exchange.
Chimopar reported a net profit of ROL 180 000 ($57 900) for the first nine months of 2005, almost flat on the year.
Chimopar, set up in 1896, is majority owned by Jafco Holding Romania and has a portfolio of 700 chemical products used in chemical, biochemical, petrochemical, food and beverage, pharmaceutical, steel and iron industries, textiles and glassware.
