Round timber procession by NTIC up 9% in January-February 2005
05. National Timber Industry Company increased round timber procession 9% to 117.6 thousand cub m, Prime-Tass news-agency quoting NTIC spokesperson reported. Sawn timber production increased 10% to 55.2 thousand cub m, including sawn timber for export – up 17% to 34.1 thousand cub m.

Sawn timber production increased 10% to 55.2 thousand cub m, including sawn timber for export – up 17% to 34.1 thousand cub m.
National Timber Industry Company comprises Sokolsky timber-processing enterprise, Kipelovo timber industry concern, Severlesprom, Kirillovsky and Kovzhinsky timber enterprises (Vologda region), Ustiales (Arkhangelsk region), Ilyinsky timber mill (Karelia Republic), Ulianovsky timber enterprise (Ulianovsk region).
NTIC enterprises produce various assortments of round timber, sawn timber for export under Russian and Scandinavian standards, window and door units, a variety of glued, shaven and linear goods, houses of glued cant, as well as framework, panel, cement-shaven boards, fuel briquettes and other products.
NTIC exports its products to Germany, France, Belgium, the Netherlands, the UK, Austria, Italy, Scandinavian countries, Baltic states, CIS countries, Syria, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, as well as supplies goods to the interior market.
