May 29, 2006. /Lesprom Network/.  In the first quarter of 2006, seven countries accounted for 92.2% of China’s log imports and five countries accounted for 61.5% of its sawnwood imports, according to ITTO. China’s plywood imports declined to 106 200 cubic meters, down 47% from the same period in 2005. Imports came mainly from Indonesia (7 800 cubic meters) and Malaysia (31 300 cubic meters).
