Russian Nemansky pulp and paper mill (Kaliningrad region, owned by NWTC) finished the necessary tests on February, 10 and launched paper machine BDM-8, NWTC public-affairs told Lesprom.ru. Due to the modernization performed, BDM-8 production capacity increased to 10000 tons of subparchment. 35 new jobs were created after the launch of BDM-8. As Lesprom.ru reported earlier, Nemansky pulp and paper experts reconstructed BDM-8 pressure box in 2003, change the spare parts of the net, installed a new regulating gear, reconstructed vacuum, ventilation and heat recuperation facilities, as well as central lubrication unit and longitudinal cutting lathe. Other parts of the machine were also repaired: shafts were grinded, fabrics and nets were changed. BDM-8 installed closed water circulation system on BDM-8 with the help of KWI company, just like on the other paper machines. Sevzapmontazhavtomatika and imported equipment was used for BDM-8 modernization worth RUR 50 million.
