Dec 19, 2003. /Lesprom Network/. Russian Nemansky pulp and paper mill (owned by North-West Timber Industry Company) financial director Irina Usipishina presented a reconstruction project. In accordance with the project the purification facilities will be installed on Nemansky and in Neman city. The technical-economic substantiation, elaborated by KWI international company experts, was approved during public hearings and is to be approved by the Minsitry of natural resources, Lesprom.ru learned from the corporate press-release. Purification facilities capacity is that of 48 thousand cub m/day. The facilities consist of 8 main units, which will permit to exhaust purer water than the one taken from the Neman river. More than 70% of depurated water will be reused. Besides purification facilities create new jobs - each facility will require 11 maintenance workers. The project total cost is $8,6 million. However the project launched by Russian Sovetsky pulp and paper mill is more costly. Purification facilities installation will cost EUR 18 million, Sovetsky CEO Alexey Hudobin said.
