Russian Timber Sector Exports up 11,8% in 2003

Plywood price volume – up 4,5% to $287 million (1,15 million cub m), round timber – up 9,4% to $1,794 billion (37,242 million cub m), sawn timber – up 33,8% to $1,1 billion (5,5 million tons), pulp – up 11,4% to $586,8 million (1,8 million tons). Newsprint production remained at the previous level.
Average round timber export prices went up 7,3%, plywood - up - up 2,3%, newsprint - up 2,5%, sawn timber - up 13,4% and pulp - up 10,3%
