Nov 15, 2012. /Lesprom Network/. 7 of SCAs paper brands have received the WWF Environmental Paper Award 2012 in the category “Best Environmental Performance Paper Brands” reaching over 90 per cent of achievable scores in WWF´s eco-rating and/or the maximum five stars in all performance categories: forest, water and climate. SCA was also awarded for listing 100 per cent of its newsprint and coated paper brands in WWF´s Check Your Paper database of eco-rated papers, as the company said in the press release received by Lesprom Network. - We are very happy and proud over our products and I think these awards are a great acknowledgment to SCAs long-term environmental work, says Kristina Enander, Mill Manager at Ortviken. World Wildlife Foundataion (WWF) created the WWF Environmental Paper Awards to give credit to producers which are transparent about the ecological footprint of their paper products/brands, using WWF´s eco-rating method on the environmental footprint of fibre sourcing, and emissions to air and water.
