Nov 26, 2014. /Lesprom Network/. Slovenia's total value of roundwood purchased in September 2014 amounted to Euro 2.5 million, which is almost 15% more than in the previous month. The value of purchased sawlogs and veneer logs was higher by more than 14%, of pulpwood by about 11% and of wood fuel by more than 31%. The value of other industrial roundwood was almost the same as in August 2014, the Statistical Office of the Republic of Slovenia said in the press release received by Lesprom Network.

The total value of roundwood purchased in September 2014 was about 29% lower than in September 2013, mainly due to lower prices of purchased wood of conifers. Of the individual categories of wood, the value of purchased wood fuel was higher by more than 33% and of pulpwood by18%, mainly due to higher quantity of this wood than in the same period last year.

The value of purchased sawlogs and veneer logs and the value of purchased other industrial roundwood were lower than in the same period last year (by almost 38% and by 42%, respectively).
