Compared with the previous year, Slovenia's value of roundwood purchased in 2014 amounted to Euro 42.6 million, which is almost 18% higher, mainly due to higher quantities of purchased roundwood. The value of purchased wood fuel was higher by 75%, of pulpwood by almost 41% and of sawlogs and veneer logs by almost 10%, as the Statistical Office of the Republic of Slovenia said in the press release received by Lesprom Network.

Sawlogs and veneer logs represented by far the highest share (73.1%) in the total value of roundwood purchased in 2014; the share of pulpwood was 16.7%, of wood fuel 7.3% and of other industrial roundwood 2.9%.
