Smurfit Kappa announces that Gary McGann, Group CEO, has been appointed Chairman of The Confederation of European Paper Industries (CEPI) with effect from January 1, 2014. Mr McGann will succeed Jussi Pessonen, the CEO of UPM.

Chairman of The Confederation of European Paper Industries (CEPI) with effect
from January 1, 2014. Mr McGann will
succeed Jussi Pessonen, the CEO of UPM, as the company said in the press
release received by Lesprom Network.
The role of Chairman has a term of two years, during which time the
Chairman is responsible for representing the European pulp and paper industry
at an EU and international level. Mr McGann has been a member of the CEPI Board since 2010.
CEPI is a Brussels-based non-profit organisation representing the
European pulp and paper industry.
