Nov 11, 2004. /Lesprom Network/. Thomas Kadien resigned from Svetogorsk LLC board of directors on November, 1 2004. The decision was taken by the board of directors held on November, 1 2004. The number of members of the board of directors reduced to 5 members. The new board of directors is composed by: Mark McGwyre, Robert Amen, William Robert Brennan, David Bailey, Sergey Pondar’. Svetogorsk was established in 1887. In December 1998 the enterprise was acquired by International Paper (USA). International Paper has already fulfilled a modernization program worth $150 million. Svetogorsk has 2 pulp production lines, 2 paper machines, 2 drying pressure machines, sheet paper production facility. The enterprise occupies 200 hectares of land in Karelia. Svetlogorsk produces a wide variety of office and offset paper, cardboard for liquid food products package, kraft-liner with a bleached layer, softwood and hardwood pulp.
