Jan 17, 2013. /Lesprom Network/. Tolko will offer three grades of subflooring panels under the new T-Ply brand, with new product features, enhanced packaging and explicit warranties against delamination, as the company said in a press release received by Lesprom Network.
Premiering at the Western Retail Lumber Association (WRLA) Prairie Showcase in Saskatoon, SK, the new product features vary from greater strength and stiffness than standard OSB panels, to a smooth, precision-sanded face and superior water-resistant properties. The new subflooring products, including Tolko T-Ply Ultra T&G Subflooring, are specially engineered for the residential builder segments, including entry levels, move-up and custom homes.
Tolko is also introducing Tolko T-Ply Pro Underlayment, a new standard underlayment flooring panel ideal for new home construction and the do-it-yourself handyman. This new panel joins Tolko’s underlayment panel brand, Tolko Ulay Premium Underlayment, a panel that professional flooring installers and finishing carpenters have come to trust from the Tolko name.
“Through market research, our customers told us that the plywood industry needed to innovate its products and services to stay current with builder demands. Our customers range from the home handyman, to the professional builder, as such we’ve introduced a line of products that meet their needs for different projects,” said Hardy Wentzel, Tolko vice president sales, marketing and logistics. “We are pleased to be introducing new and innovative types of quality flooring to all builders that no other softwood plywood manufacturers in Canada, or importers, are currently offering. Our aim is to provide superior products that meet the needs of all our customers and we believe the new T-Ply brand will do this.”
