shipments were 128.9 thousand tons in May 2014, 3.4% lower compared to the
prior month, as the American Forest & Paper Association said in the press
release received by Lesprom Network.
Bleached kraft paper shipments dropped from 11.8 thousand tons in April
to 9.4 in May, while unbleached kraft paper shipments decreased from 121.7
thousand tons to 119.5.
Overall, shipments for the first five months of 2014 were 1.4% lower
than the same period last year.
Total month-end inventories increased 6.4% compared to April.
