U.S. kraft paper shipments in October up 3.6% month-over-month
U.S. total kraft paper shipments in October 2013 were 131.3 thousand tons, 3.6% higher compared to the prior month. Total month-end inventory decreased 24.5% compared to September 2013.

shipments in October 2013 were 131.3 thousand tons, 3.6% higher compared to the
prior month, as the American Forest & Paper Association said in the press
release received by Lesprom Network.
Bleached kraft paper shipments increased year-over-year 14.3%, but the
4.2% year-over-year decline in unbleached kraft paper shipments was enough to
bring overall kraft paper shipments down 1.8% year-over-year. Total month-end
inventory decreased 24.5% compared to September 2013.
