Koryazhma Forestry Branch of Ilim Group receives new equipment
Feb 15, 2011. Koryazhma Forestry Branch of Ilim Group receives new equipment. A total of 6 harvesters and 5 forwarders by John Deere, 10 Volvo trucks, 14 KamAZ trucks and 20 shift cabins were purchased as part of the Group’s forestry investment program. Road construction operations received 5 excavators, 2 Caterpillar bulldozers and 4 John Deere graders. In addition, two equipment repair docks were purchased.

A total of 6 harvesters and 5 forwarders by John Deere, 10 Volvo trucks, 14 KamAZ trucks and 20 shift cabins were purchased as part of the Group’s forestry investment program. Road construction operations received 5 excavators, 2 Caterpillar bulldozers and 4 John Deere graders. In addition, two equipment repair docks were purchased, as the company said in a press release received by Lesprom Network.
During 2011 further additions into Ilim Group’s Koryazhma Forestry Branch will include another 4 bulldozers, 5 excavators and 16 Volvo trucks. The Branch has already received some of the harvesting equipment and trucks. This includes 14 harvester-forwarder units replacing older machines. Additionally the company plans to construct roads and bridges, arranging wood hauling operations, new shift cabins and docks repairing.
In 2010, Ilim Group invested $19 million to purchase advanced harvesting and auxiliary equipment for the company’s Forestry Branch in Koryazhma, Russia.
