IlimSibLes Ltd., the part of Ilim Pulp Corporation (Russia), has obtained FSC certification for its forest administration and chain-of-custody after main audit conducted by German company GFA Terra Systems with the participation of Russian specialists from audit company EuroPartner. Therefore, the certified forestry fund rented by Ilim Pulp has exceeded 1.589 million hectares. The company is the largest forest holder in Russia that has accomplished the forests’ certification. Ilim Pulp possesses 25% of certified forestlands in Russia, 4.8% in Europe and 2.7% in the world. Ilim Pulp is preparing actively other wood-processing enterprises to obtain certification by FSC standards.
