Ilim Group’s 1Q pulp and paper production up 12%

May 12, 2010. /Lesprom Network/. Over the 1Q 2010 Ilim Group’s locations have manufactured 603 thousand tons of pulp and paper products. This is 12% more than in the corresponding period of 2009, company said in a statement received by Lesprom Network.
Market pulp production totaled 379 thousand tons, which is 9% more than in the first three months of 2009. Board production increased by 19% and reached 176 thousand tons. Paper production amounted to 47 thousand tons, which is 8% more than in January-March of 2009.
Pulping went up 11% to 648 thousand tons.
The company harvested 2.2 million cubic metres of wood, which is 5% up year-on-year. The share of own wood supplies accounted for 46% of the total supplies volume.
