John Deere signs agreement with Ilim Pulp Enterprise
Dec 14, 2004. John Deere’s Construction & Forestry Division and Ilim Pulp Enterprise announced the signing of a four-year cooperation agreement designating John Deere as Ilim’s priority supplier. Sales of equipment to Ilim Pulp are expected to reach $100 million by 2008. The equipment will be manufactured in Finland, United Stats and Canada, and includes cut-to-length, full-tree and construction machines used in forestry applications.

Ilim Pulp Enterprise is the largest pulp and paper manufacturer in Russia. John Deere is the world’s largest forestry equipment manufacturer and a leading manufacturer of construction equipment.
Mr. Sergei Kostylev, Chief Executive Officer of Ilim Pulp Enterprise said, “This agreement will enable Ilim Pulp to substantially modernize its fleet of forestry equipment, and we are pleased to partner with John Deere.”
