Russian Kotlassky pulp and paper enterprise (Arkhangelsk region, owned by Ilim Pulp) confirmed the status of ISO-9001:2000 (quality management) and ISO-14001 (environmental protection management) certified enterprise, Bureau Veritas Quality International (BVQI) announced after the necessary audit checks were fulfilled last week. The auditors concluded that the introduced quality and environment management systems meet the requirements of international standards and are functioning successfully. Note, that Kotlassky received the 2 certificates in 2003, and is now preparing for IHSAS 18001:1999 industrial security management and labor protection certification. The creation of integrated systems of pulp and paper production management on the enterprise will be introduced in late 2005.
